Stove and swept and cleaned out ready for another cold burning season!

The best was to always make sure a flue is clean and clear from obstruction is to always try and pass the brush and Rod out the open chimney pot.

This photo is different to the brick featured inset, this chimney was also very sooty which instead was swept with a manual brush and rod system. The old brush and rod system is still very good to pass a flue system that is reasonably straight from bends.

Not a bad view to bed London Battersea Power Station! The main reason I was up here on this day was because we could not see the pit location down from street view and we needed to help identify the chimney pot as well as carry out smoke testing after to ensure that the chimney flue was not leaking out of more that this one pot that you can see my brush sticking out of.
